@Sea Correspondent -- Tim Calver

For the past five years, Tim Calver has been the lab technician and manager of the Bimini Biological Field Station, overseeing the lab's day to day activities for Dr. Samuel Gruber. Island research requires a unique array of skills...Tim is as familiar with desalination systems and small engine repair as he is with gill netting and longlining.

The color of the water and a desire to photograph all that swims beneath the surface originally bought Tim to the Bahamas. Since moving to Bimini from Canada, his stunning photographs have been featured on The Discovery Channel Online & Earthwatch Online; in The Miami Herald & Equinox Magazine; in a Canadian documentary titled "Champions of the Wild"; and here on @Sea.
